		<description>I would be interested in knowing more about your web site for the 1st NY Light Artillary.  My great grandfather Charles A. Gates served with the unit and I have done considerable research on his story based on his letters (in which he speaks very highly of Captain Pettit).  Also, Stephen Dreher from Baldwinsville has done excellent research on the battery&#039;s history if you have not already made contact with him.
