Pvt Jobe Gilley

Fierce-looking Private Jobe Gilley of the 27th Indiana Infantry was wounded by gunshot through his body which entered his chest just above the heart at Antietam on 17 September 1862. He survived and served in the Veteran Reserve Corps to November 1865. His photograph was contributed to his Findagrave memorial by Samuel Hillenburg.
