This damaged photograph is of Private Richard Young Bennett, Company H, 2nd Mississippi Infantry. He was wounded at Fox’s Gap on South Mountain in September 1862 and probably served with his Company to the end of the war.

I’m not sure, but the weapon in the picture may be a revolving rifle, possibly a Colt Model of 1855. I welcome expert correction on that. The photograph was contributed to his Findagrave memorial by George Seitz.
