Pvt Charles Combs, Jr.

19 year old Private Charles Combs, Jr., Company B, 27th Indiana Infantry was wounded in the buttocks at Antietam in September 1862, but survived that and the war to return to farming in 1865. He died from an infection related to his Antietam wound less than 4 years later at age 25.

His photograph was contributed to his Findagrave memorial by Larry Combs.
