Capt Isaac B Feagin

Captain Isaac B Feagin led the 15th Alabama Infantry as senior officer present at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862 and he was wounded by a “shellburst” at Boteler’s Ford on the Potomac River near Shepherdstown on 19 September. He was appointed Lieutenant Colonel by May 1863 but was wounded and lost his leg at Gettysburg in July, and spent the next 11 months as a Federal prisoner. He was exchanged in June 1864, resigned, and went home.
