This is Theodore Washington Buford with some of his large family in about 1905; he and wife Eva had 10 children and innumerable grandchildren.

During the war Buford was a Private in Company D, 2nd Mississippi Infantry and was wounded at Sharpsburg in September 1862. He went home disabled in April 1863, but helped form and was 2nd Lieutenant of a Company of State cavalry which became “C” of the 11th Mississippi Cavalry. He surrendered with them in May 1865.
