Visit a lovely timeline-based exhibit of US Presidents of the 20th Century from the folks at the Learning Technology Center, University of Texas at Austin, and Terra Incognita Productions— developers of “interactive educational experiences”.

Lt. H.S. Truman, 1917
Lieutenant Harry S Truman, 1917

Is it good education (Jeremy? Paula?)? Don’t know, but it sure has lots of good things to to look at.

  1. Lila says:

That is one lovely timeline. I hadn’t seen one before that showed the overlapping lifetimes of the Presidents.

  2. Brian says:

Thanks , Lila. We agree. I think a display on the wall at the Natl History Museum showed lifespans of the Presidents that way … but it’s been a few years now, so I’m not certain.

  3. Harry says:

OK, OK, I’ll be the one to say it. Your caption on this picture is not quite right. Truman’s middle name was S, so there is no period after it. Harry S Truman.

    Harry

  4. Brian says:

right-o, Harry. Sharp eye. Surprised there weren’t more emails on that … :)
